There is a law in Michigan that trumps a city ordinance, all city law must comply with state and federal laws. Michigan State Law states that anyone living in an extended-stay hotel for longer than 28-days is a tenant and no longer a transient guest. They have become a tenant, and that means they have all rights of a landlord-tenant relationship. The manager and their staff are not able to just call the police and remove you from the premises. They must evict you and they must have cause. The days of just putting people out of their homes and creating a homeless person are over.
I moved into another extended stay and the manager just told me that she does 80 days and you can come back in 30 days. I looked at her and she’s Asian and just silently shook my head. They are out here making their own laws. Doing whatever they want. I told her that that’s not the law, and her male minion told me when I mentioned Thomas Tanghe that their lawyers fight to keep it that way. She said that after 80 days, she calls the police. I told her, “The police know who I am.” I was so calm that she was overwhelmed. I don’t get mad and cuss people out. The people at the Mainstay were stealing my stuff. While I was outside talking to the police, they stole all the tops from my storage containers and my pots. Just to get next to me, but they’ll understand. At least I hope they will, but these people are stupid, and they think you’re stupid, too. I’m sad that they don’t respect me as a human but treat me like a prostitute and are stealing my stuff, already. It’s been a week and two days.
The manager has started harassing me. She put signs on my car telling me that my car isn’t registered and it would be towed, today. She put these notes on 8”x11” xerox paper on the back window and my front windshield. It read, something about “valued guest” or something like that. I didn’t feel valued, I felt embarrassed. Someone had stolen my tab from my car months ago. I didn’t know, but the police kept coming behind me and taking off without stopping me. When I was told that it was missing, I knew then why police cars were pulling behind me but not stopping me. I thought it was OCSD checking to see if I have insurance. You know they can do that now. They can tell if you have insurance and pull you over if you don’t and tow your car. If you’re willing to you can just give the patrolman a blow job and go on about your way. I’m going to sue the City of Auburn Hills. I have pointed out the state law and given it to Tanghe. He’s relying on the OCSD to keep him safe.
They never tell them that they are under federal investigation. Chances are I am not the only person these hotels are doing this to, in fact I know I’m not. Extended stays are just that. People have lived in them for years, but the theme in Auburn Hills has changed and prostitution is the game. These hotels aren’t being used for the purposes intended. When I saw the manager was Asian, I knew this was a whorehouse. She thinks I’m going to be a prostitute. Never in her wildest dreams. She keeps talking about the police. I’m going to sue them, too. They are supposed to uphold the law, not make up new ones to arrest you on. They sent Officer Jackson, their muscle to scare and intimidate me. He got in my face and told me if I didn’t keep packing, he was going to arrest me. He said he heard me yelling over the phone.
I was telling me the same stuff the other officer had said about it being private property. I was telling him that I’m a tenant and they must evict me and can’t throw me out at will. He got mad at the truth being told to his face and gave me another threat. He said that he was going to throw all my things out the window onto the driveway. He had “the dumpster”, but there was no dumpster outside my window. Just like the jail, they got muscles just like Thicke and Freedline out here in Auburn Hills. Officer Johnson is at least 6’4” and 250 pounds. I must admit I was afraid. I kept packing and let the truth go. You must be able to pick your battles and that one wasn’t one I was interested in fighting. OCSD got Auburn Hills turned out. For real…
